Because the MECEE-BL has -0.25 negative marking, preparation is different from no-penalty exams like the CSIT entrance. Accuracy matters as much as coverage, and the syllabus above is the map for both:
- Start with Biology’s heavy blocks. Human physiology in Zoology and genetics/biodiversity in Botany are the highest-scoring areas — the marks most aspirants fight for.
- Make Physics and Chemistry consistent. Their combined 100 marks equal biology, and chapter-wise practice is the only way to keep formulas and reactions sharp.
- Do not skip the MAT. Its 20 marks are pure reasoning — no syllabus to memorise — and the easiest marks to convert once you learn the question types.
