Two of these are official requirements from TU IOST's exam center notice; the pen is needed because the answer sheet is a paper OMR that you fill by hand. Everything else on the list is optional.

Admit Card & Identity Proof
The exam center notice from TU IOST is explicit on documents, and these are the two you cannot skip:
- Admit card — downloaded and printed from the official entrance portal. Check the printed name, symbol number and exam center match your application.
- Valid original ID — Citizenship, Driver's License, or Class 12 Admit Card/ID. This confirms you are the person on the admit card.

How to Fill the OMR Sheet
TU IOST has published an official video, “Right Way to Fill OMR Answer Sheet!”, showing how their Optical Mark Reader (OMR) system reads answer sheets. The rules below are the ones TU's OMR sheet expects:

| Use a blue or black pen | The official requirement is a blue or black pen. Ballpoint is the practical pick — gel ink dries slower and can smear, and pencil is erasable, so avoid both on exam day. |
| Fill your particulars carefully | Name, symbol number and any other fields exactly as they appear on your admit card. |
| Darken the complete circle | Shade the whole bubble for your chosen option — a half-filled or crossed bubble may not scan. |
| One bubble per question | Mark only one option per question. Two marks on the same question can invalidate it. |
| No stray marks | Keep the sheet clean — random dots or smudges can be read as answers. |
| Don't fold, tear or crumple | Your answer sheet is scanned electronically; a damaged sheet can be rejected. |
| Attempt all 100 questions | There is no negative marking, so a blank bubble is a guaranteed lost mark. Guess smartly when stuck. |

What Not to Bring
These are standard rules that apply in the CSIT entrance hall. When in doubt, leave it at home:
- Mobile phones, smartwatches and earphones — electronic gadgets are prohibited in the hall. Keep them off your person or hand them over as the invigilator directs.
- Notes, textbooks or loose paper — only the question paper, OMR sheet and your pen stay on your desk.
- Calculators — the entrance is an OMR MCQ paper; do not plan around one. The syllabus has you do the mental math.
Anything you are unsure about, check with the center staff before the exam — the final authority is always the invigilator and the official notice.
Exam-Day Timeline
