Where the Technique Pays Most: Biology

Chemistry and Physics: Different Reading

Textbooks matter for every subject, but the reading technique changes where calculations enter:

  • Chemistry. Read for reactions, named laws and definitions, and solve every in-chapter numerical yourself before looking at the solution. The textbook's worked examples are a hidden question bank — cover the solution and attempt the problem cold.
  • Physics. Derivations and laws matter, but marks come from solving. After reading a topic, immediately attempt its solved examples and end-of-chapter problems on a timer; if you cannot reproduce a worked example, re-read the derivation, not the summary.
  • Mathematics. The speed base for MAT and the arithmetic inside physics numerics. Read for methods, not for reading's sake.
