MECEE-BL Admit Card 2027: Download, Checklist and Exam-Day Essentials

The MECEE-BL admit card 2027 is published online on the official MEC portal (entrance.mec.gov.np) about 5 days before the exam and is to be printed in colour. The exam date itself has not been announced yet — MEC's academic calendar points to early October 2026 (note: “2027” is the academic year of admission, so the exam itself falls in 2026) — so the smart move is to know the download steps and pack list now, not the night before. This page is your admit-card and exam-day checklist.

Quick answer

The admit card is released online about 5 days before the exam at entrance.mec.gov.np, and you must print it in colour. No hall entry without the printed card plus a valid photo ID. The 2027 exam date is not yet announced — note that “2027” is the academic year of admission, so the exam itself is expected around early October 2026 (Ashwin 2083).

Admit Card Essentials

Everything you need to know about the card itself, straight from the MEC notice:

ItemDetails
Where it is publishedOnline at entrance.mec.gov.np
WhenAbout 5 days before the exam date
Print requirementPrinted in colour
What it carriesYour photo, name, programme(s) and exam center
Exam dateNot yet announced for the 2027 intake (exam expected early October 2026 — the “2027” is the admission year)

Because the date is still unannounced, keep checking the portal rather than relying on rumour — and remember the registration window closes August 31, so if you have not applied yet, that deadline comes first.

How to Download Your Admit Card

The download flow sits on the same portal you used to apply, so your credentials from the application step are what you will need:

  1. Go to entrance.mec.gov.np and log in with the account you created during registration.
  2. Open the admit card section — it appears once MEC releases admit cards, roughly 5 days before the exam.
  3. Verify your details — name spelling, photo, programmes and exam center must match your application exactly.
  4. Download and print in colour. Print two copies and keep one in a separate bag; a lost card is a crisis you can avoid for NPR 20.

If any detail on the card does not match your application, contact MEC before exam day — do not assume the discrepancy will be ignored at the gate. When in doubt, the complete MECEE-BL medical guide pulls the portal, dates and fees into one place.

The Exam-Day Carry Checklist

These are the essentials. The first two are official; the pen is needed because the paper is a handwritten OMR sheet:

ItemWhy
Printed admit card (colour)Mandatory for hall entry — print from the MEC portal
Valid photo IDCitizenship certificate or the ID you used to apply, to match your identity
Blue or black ballpoint penThe OMR answer sheet is filled by hand — carry a spare
Passport-size photoCarry one in case the center asks for it at entry
Water bottleOnly if the center allows it

This list matches how Nepali entrance halls operate, but the authoritative item list is the one MEC prints on the admit-card notice — confirm it when that notice is published, and adjust accordingly.

Before You Leave Home

Run this in order the night before, and again on exam morning:

  • Two colour prints of the admit card, one in your bag and one with a parent or guardian.
  • Original photo ID — not a photocopy, not a photo on your phone.
  • Pen check. Two blue/black ballpoint pens that write smoothly.
  • Center and route. Check the center on your admit card, work out travel time, and aim to arrive well before entry checks start.
  • Know the paper. 200 MCQs, 200 marks, 3 hours — revisit the exam pattern and time budget so your pacing plan is fresh.

In the Exam Hall

The exam is offline pen-and-paper OMR: 200 multiple-choice questions in 3 hours. Keep these points in mind:

  • Fill particulars carefully — name and details exactly as printed on the admit card.
  • Darken one complete circle per question — half-filled bubbles and double marks can fail to scan.
  • Watch the marking rule. +1 for correct, -0.25 for wrong, 0 for blank — the negative marking guide has the guess-versus-skip decision rule.
  • Leave electronic devices outside. Phones, smartwatches and earphones are not permitted in the hall — and they would not help you check your admit card anyway.
  • Keep the OMR sheet clean and unfolded. It is scanned electronically; a damaged sheet can be rejected.
Make the 3 hours automaticThe day goes smoothly when the pacing is already a habit. Run a timed 200-question-style practice before exam day — practise a timed MCQ set in the app so bubbling, pacing and guessing rules feel routine in the hall.
Read nextAdmit card sorted — now make the score worth the seat. See how the reservation split and merit list work, then run a timed MCQ set so your score arrives ready.
